Join a diverse range of school leaders, educators, partners, advocates, and innovators at the only statewide gathering of New York’s public charter school community — the New York Charter Schools Conference. This year, the conference heads to Rochester where hundreds of attendees will gather to attend learning sessions, networking events, school tours, and more.

This conference brings together charter school Academic Leaders, Operations Leaders, Board Members, as well as leaders from authorizers, funders, and other organizations in the charter school community. Last year’s conference in New York City attracted more than 500 attendees to the heart of Manhattan.


What to Expect as a
Conference Presenter
The New York Charter Schools Conference is the best place to bring your ideas to an audience of hundreds of deeply invested public charter school leaders, educators, staff members, stakeholders, and more. Our highly competitive selection process focuses on finding the most relevant, cutting-edge presenters to share their insights and expertise on a wide range of topics that can help New York’s public charter schools continue to find innovative ways to serve their students.

- Presenter Submission Deadline: August 11, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
- Submission Review Process: August 12 – August 29, 2025
- Decision Notifications: On or around September 3, 2025
With hundreds of expected submissions and a limited number of presenter slots available, we encourage you to keep the following guidance in mind:
- Timeliness: Only on-time submissions and fully completed applications will be considered in the review process.
- Theme & Originality: Ensure that your proposal aligns with one of the conference themes (listed below) and presents new ideas, research, or previously unexplored perspectives.
- Elevate Leader Voices: Having one or more of the lead presenters be a school leader, staff member, or current researcher can help boost your application.
- Engaging Delivery Plans: Include clear strategies you’ll use to maintain audience interest and participation with practical applications.
